Frequently asked questions

What would you like to know?

What types of pests do you treat?

We treat most, if not all, insects encountered in Texas. Our services also includes rodent remediation. We do not, however, provide reptile or bird control.

How often should I schedule pest control services?

Quarterly pest service is recommended in the pest industry due to the residual decay of remediation products. Restaurants, or any food grade facilities, require monthly service.

Are your pest control treatments safe for children and pets?

Yes, all products are approved for use on the Federal level by the Environmental Protection Agency (E.P.A.) as well by the Texas Department of Agriculture. Remember, "LABEL IS LAW" per safety training for all employees licensed in the pest industry. All technicians are licensed with the Texas Department of Agriculture and trained on safety, products and how they are applied.

What should I expect during a pest control visit?

Our clients can expect a well-mannered licensed inspector or technician that will inspect your home for any target pest, as well as any conducive conditions that may be causing issues that need to be corrected. They will walk you through the concerning areas of the property, explaining the problems and treatment solutions. The inspection will conclude with a cost estimate for immediate treatment and for any maintenance service that may be needed to keep you pest-free.

Do I need to leave my home during the treatment?

Occupants, including children and pets, are not required to vacate the premises during treatment. The exception is for the treatment of fleas and bed bugs.

How soon will I see results after treatment?

In most cases, depending on the pest, results will start taking effect immediately. However, some target pests infestations will remedy over time due to incubation or gestation period of the pest or insect in question.

What happens if the pests come back after treatment?

If an infestation re-occurs or a previous treatment issue persists, a free re-inspection will be scheduled to determine the origin of the issue. If a previous treatment for the same problem occurred within our 30-day warranty period, the treatment will be performed free of charge. Our one-time service carries a 30-day warranty. For clients on a quarterly maintenance service plan (e.g. every 3 months), a one-year warranty is provided .

How much does pest control cost?

There are a few factors that contribute to pricing.

Generally, for residential property under 3,000 sq. ft. receiving a one-time general preventative treatment, without pre-existing infestations, the cost is approximately $129.00.

For the best ongoing results and pricing, we recommend a quarterly maintenance plan where treatment cost decreases to $119.00 per visit.

Do you offer free inspections or consultations?

Pest inspections are always free! Our inspector will walk you through the property and discuss pest problems and possible solutions. An estimate for remediation options will be provided.

Is there a warranty or guarantee for your services?

Residential quarterly service carries a year-round warranty! A one-time service carries a 30-day warranty. There is no cost for a follow up visit or treatment if under warranty. Remember, inspections are always free!

What should I do before the pest control technician arrives?

Any preparation needed will be discussed at the time of the initial inspection. We'll answer all questions and concerns prior to any service performed.

Is there anything I need to do after the service is completed?

Anything requiring the client to do after service is rendered will be explained at the time of the initial inspection. Normally, there is no follow-up action required on your part.

How long should I wait before cleaning after pest control?

We recommend cleaning prior to treatment. Depending on the target pest, some of the products used are residual based and remain undetectable and continue to be remediate pests. However, our inspector will discuss everything with you at the time of the initial inspection.

Are your pest control products environmentally friendly?

Yes. All products used in the pest industry are regulated by the Environmental Protection Agency (E.P.A.) and locally by the Texas Department of Agriculture with our ecosystem in mind. Safety, not only to our clients, but with our environment in mind, is our number ONE concern. We follow all Federal and local licensing, safety, rules and regulation guidelines.

Will the treatment harm my garden or pets?

There isn't a "one size fits all treatment" when it comes to pest control. Treatments, products and applications all have the safety and health of, not only our clients but, their pets and vegetation in mind. This means products in use are regulated by local and Federal regulators to ensure applications are made safe for pets and foliage.

How do I know if I have a termite infestation?

Let's talk termites!

The most common termite in central Texas is the subterranean termite. Unlike drywood termites, these wood-destroying insects colonize underground. They surface to consume your home of any wood (cellulose) in order to return to feed the termite colony.

Most potential clients are unaware they have a termite issue. A free inspection by one of our licensed professionals will inspect and evaluate your home, not only for a termite infestation but to inform you of any conducive conditions that may invite termites into your home.

What are the signs of a bed bug problem?

Bed bugs, ugh!

What are the signs that you may have a bed bug issue? In the early stages it may be as simple as red bumpy itchy area or areas on the smooth surfaces of your skin, similar to a mosquito bite.

Bed bugs typically feed on blood for 3-10 minutes before retreating to their hiding place. They usually feed every 5 to 7 days.

Bed bugs are visible, but are very good at hiding until feeding time. As they multiply, the infestation will become more apparent. A single female can lay around 1 to 7 eggs per day, potentially laying up to 500 eggs in her lifetime.

If you suspect bed bugs in your home, call us as soon as possible for our free inspection.

How do you treat for rodents and prevent them from returning?

When it comes to rodents there is more than one method of treatment stages.

The first is finding and sealing their entry points. Rodents communicate by their urine due to near blindness. This means they are capable of retracing their path to food and nesting areas as well as entry points. Second, we'll want to trap and remove any rodents remaining in your home.

This service is covered in our quarterly service agreement as part of ongoing maintenance.

What is the best way to prevent future infestations?

There are many ways to help control unwanted pest issues. An obvious solution is to keep the grass and foliage around your property short and maintained. Indoors, door sweeps and repairing entry points around plumbing fixtures, doors, windows can be most effective.

And most importantly, have your home inspected by one of our licensed professionals annually to insure year-round protection.

How soon can you come out for service?

We strive to schedule your pest inspection as soon as possible, typically within a day or two.

We also realize that sometimes your pest needs are urgent. In these situations we offer a 24-hour response, depending on the circumstances.

Whether it's an inspection, or a needed service, our technicians and inspectors are licenced to inspect, identify and treat pests in one visit, if required.
